We had a successful first day of school! The students impressed me with their writing abilities. We got to know each other better and we will continue to build our classroom community for the next few weeks. I know many of you are interested in volunteering, and I plan to have that organized by the end of next week. I think someone took our decodable books to put together, and whoever you are, I really appreciate it.
I hope the arrival and dismissal worked well, I am so proud of all the parents for saying goodbye outside, that was what was expected. Some of you know that my son, Alex is in Mr. Bucenec's class, and I appreciate you giving me a few minutes to be a mom this morning and drop him off for his first day of kindergarten.
The next few days are supposed to be hot, so please send a water bottle with your child. Most students brought snack today, please remember your child can bring a healthy snack to eat during morning work time. Have a great evening, Mrs. Rollman
